The program is structured to help corrections leaders and stakeholders "unlock the power of data" by making analytics more accessible and operationally relevant. In practice, that typically means helping agencies standardize key performance measures, improve the timeliness and accuracy of reporting, strengthen links between data and operational priorities (for example staffing, programming, safety, health services, or reentry), and cultivate a culture where data is routinely used to diagnose problems, test interventions, and monitor results over time. Because the initiative combines hands-on embedded assistance with national training and tools, it aims to create both deep improvements in a limited number of agencies and broader field-wide gains in analytic practice.
